  • CBS Travel and Merit Award: This award does not require an application. Awardees are selected by the CBS Awards Committee and is based on the quality of abstracts.
  • WBC 2016 Legacy Travel Award: This award requires an application and the selection of made by the CBS Awards Committee based on academic excellence, quality of abstract and service to the CBS. Please refer the terms of the award on the CBS website.

To be considered for either award, trainees must be a member of the CBS at the time of abstract submission. To become a member, or renew your membership ($75 per year for trainees), please visit the CBS webpage.

UPDATE: It has come to our attention that new members have encountered issues receiving their membership number and confirmation after paying through PayPal. The CBS is working to fix the issue, and in the meantime, anyone encountering this issue can enter “Trainee” in place of a membership number to ensure they are considered for a travel award. We will reconcile memberships manually during the review process, and will be flexible to ensure all eligible trainees are considered for the CBS Travel and Merit Award.
